UNITED WE STAND

Greetings Brothers and Sisters, The long awaited Acquisition is finally complete. As of 4:52 p.m. Friday December 29, 2006. We are officially the New AT&T. The new AT&T is expected to have 301,000 employees. Over a period of three years, the company is likely to shed about 10,000 jobs because of the merger largely through attrition, officials have said. The good news for us is that AT&T has agreed to return 3,000 jobs to the United States. These positions were outsourced by Bellsouth. AT&T has agreed that 200 of these jobs will go to our brothers and sisters in New Orleans. I look forward to an exciting and challenging 2007.
